Helen Gillespie, Betsy & Els – Lytham

Wow what an amazing day I had yesterday! Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome, I gained SO much from the meeting in lots of ways...meeting lovely lovely people, hearing and sharing same challenges and fears and hopefully successes!

Becs was inspirational, I really enjoyed listening to her story and journey. Being in a room with so many positive people was very uplifting. I hadn't realised how long it is since I have had that experience, sadly teaching is at present a very negative and draining profession.

ParentPreneur is a fantastic networking event that I would highly recommend to any parent out there either running their own business or thinking about it. I went to the event to meet others in a similar situation to mine; working from home, on their own with nobody to fully discuss business issues with whilst also having children to look after too. I came away from the event feeling extremely inspired by all the stories I heard and full of enthusiasm. I’ll definitely be going to the next event.

Parentpreneur is a simple yet brilliant concept that will change the way we do business. Florence has had the mind shift and common sense to create a business networking arena that works around her and her key priority which is family, rather than being forced to fit in to traditional breakfast meetings, held at the wrong time for mums. And of course what works for one works for many. I have attended the events and loved how at ease everyone was and excited to be able to tap into a resource that previously wasn’t available. All newcomers are made to feel very welcome and there was a genuine buzz in the room of fellow parentpreneurs wanting to work together and help each other. The success in Altrincham is already rolling out to other areas so if you’re not local it won’t be long until it’s in your area too. Brilliant for parents, brilliant for business.

I love attending ParentPreneur. I have a hat hire business and it’s a fantastic opportunity to show off my hats. I always leave feeling motivated and inspired by the ideas shared at the meeting. Since attending the Networking meetings I have featured in the local press and have had several business referrals. Every town should have a ParentPreneur event, they are just brilliant!!

I have been to many networking events over the last 5 years that the business has grown, but found that ParentPreneur was so much more. I loved the enthusiasm and genuine passion for, not just their own businesses but for each others as well. The businesses were very different to each other and everyone was getting involved in the group. My time is so precious running an accountancy business and having three children, the timing and locality is perfect.

We will share ideas and help each other with business issues. We are not only going to sell our products and services to each other but also share ideas and help each other with business issues. So if you are doing a leaflet drop in the area, why not do it together and split costs and time. If you are using a good accountant why not share with others. We can share each other’s businesses through social media and word of mouth. The list is endless.

To help you have the best chance of attending we have arranged a time that school drop off and pick up can still be done, ensured that there is parking available close by. We do not have a dress code, so come in what feels comfortable. We will provide tea, coffee and a little treat, but feel free to bring anything else you need.
